Disneyland

We were in So. Cal for the last 9 days and while we were there we visited with family & friends. We had a great time! One of the highlights of our trip was taking Chloe to disneyland for her 1st time. Chloe had so much fun. It was amazing to watch her. Her joy & amazement were contagious!! It was like we were going to disneyland for our 1st time, too. It is hard to explain how in awe her little face was...it was almost too sweet. We rode several rides, had great food (we ate dinner in Downtown Disney at the Rainforest Cafe which is an awesome place for kids with all the moving animals and the thunder & flashing lights) & we even did a little shopping. It was a perfect day. Enjoy the photos below & be sure to stay tuned because I will be posting more photos of our fun trip.

Project "Deck Painting" Complete

After many sighs of relief and one more to grow on...sigh...I make this blog entry. We have completed the painting of the deck. So enjoy the photos, oh & Happy Labor Day!

Here I am pressure washing the deck (that was a big ordeal); it looks soooo ugly.

Nate finishing the pressure washing....it looks worse than ugly...

Now it is primed and ready for painting...looking better...

And the painting is well on its way... looking much better...

The railing is complete...1st sigh of relief...looking good...

And now the deck face is complete (after two coates of paint on each section as well as a coat of primer and about 1 week later we can say it is done!) I know, I know...it doesnt look like we did anything because the colors are the same...but I do have the photos to prove we did do the work (as you have seen) & the paint isn't chipped like before...and it looks great (at least we think so).

Here is Chloe just being her adorable self...

Chloe and Daddy stopping to have a photo taken...

I was able to catch her sleeping yesterday during her nap and decided to take this sweet photo of our angle. I love the thumb in the mouth.
