Painting...

But before we can paint, we have to pressure wash away the old paint. We are just painting the deck and railing because the outside house paint is great (the inside needs to be painted but that is for another time). The deck takes a lot of beating and was needing a paint job before we even moved in. Well, we have finally found the time to get this done (4 months later) so this weekend is full of paint prep (pressure washing), priming and, finally painting. It will be nice to get this done before the fall. And it will be one more thing I can check off of our list of things and projects we need and want to get done. Below Nate is beginning the pressure washing of the deck face.

Here is Chloe with her "fountain" of hair...

Watch it, I'm mowin' here...(I wish she was vaccuming for me instead:) )

Just a quick update on Chloe's progress (she had her 15 mos doc app on Aug 2). That day she got 5 shots (and did so well, hardly any crying or fussing of any kind...I am so proud of our girl!!) She now weighs 21 lbs 14 oz (34%) and is 31 in long (67%). She is healthy and happy. She still has that small vocabulary (says 5 words but can mimick sounds perfectly), but I think she is more a thinker than a talker. Her doc says that is perfectly normal and she is developing fine. She has great mobility, understands us and does what she is told. My mom calls her "stealth" because of how quiet and melow she is. I am sure that soon she will just start that talkin' and won't stop. I enjoy her and love her very much no matter what so it is all new and fun to me.

Our Ebay Business

We have had a side business for a few years now where we sell all kinds of items on Ebay & we have been doing pretty well with it & continue to expand our inventory all the time. Our biggest, best & item we have been selling the longest is brass. I just thought it would be neat to share some photos about it so below are photos of some brass.

Here are the brass sorting stations...

Just more cute photos of our bragging right!!

I love my bear-bear...

Eating with a Spoon

This morning for breakfast Chloe and I had Cream of Wheat hot cereal. Here she is eating the cereal all by herself with a spoon. She ate most of the cereal all by herself (she insisted upon this!!) I was so proud of her that I had to take a couple of photos to share with you.

You can see in the photo above that our entry way has a long vertical glass window next to our front door. This is a perfect height for Chloe and she is easily able to sit there so this has become her new favorite spot.
